Quality of Care

The nursing staff is supervised by an on-site registered nurse sixteen hours per day – double the standard required by the state. Licensed nurses are on duty twenty-four hours a day. A registered dietician is also available for consultation.

Life in the Perkins-Prothro Health Care facility is more than just care for those who can no longer care for themselves. Residents may participate in social activities, worship at vespers services, or pamper themselves in the beauty shop. Daily rates include personal laundry service, housekeeping services, telephone and basic cable for your personal television. Three delicious daily meals are served as well as snacks. All rooms are private and include a private bathroom with walk-in shower.

“The staff philosophy is that this is our residents’ home and we are paid to be in their home and care for them,” says Director of Nursing Helen Talley. “So, yes, we are going to give a lot of TLC.”
